Blue Mountains private tour faq's some questions we often get asked

What time do Blue Mountains tours start?

We suggest getting away between 7.30 and 8.30am in order to beat traffic and get the most of your Blue Mountains tour. However this is your day and we can work with you to start earlier (great for photographers) or start later (great for sunsets, wildlife spotting and holiday sleep ins). Keep in mind Sydney has more daylight in summer and a lot less in winter. Just nominate your preferred pick up time when booking.

Where will you pick up/drop off for our Sydney tours?

We can pick up and drop off at any location in and around Sydney. This can be your hotel, AirBnB, airport, cruise ship terminal and can also be outside of Sydney if enough notice is provided. Charges may apply for excess luggage or for locations outside of the city. Enter your pick up details in the booking form or just send an email with details if they are unknown still.

Should we visit Featherdale on our Blue Mountains tour?

Over 8 years of running Blue Mountains private tours we visit Featherdale Wildlife Park on most days as our guests request it to be added. It is a great experience with only Australian native animals and is fantastic for families with children. It is on the way to the Blue Mountains so an easy stop to make. You can easily add entry tickets in the booking process. Typically spend around 1.5 hours here to see it well.

Should we visit Scenic World on our tour?

Scenic World is an iconic attraction in the Blue Mountains and is especially good for families with children or for people with limited mobility who want to have an adventure. It is also a good idea when the cloud sets in as you can enjoy a walk under cloud line in temperate rain forest. If you prefer to escape the crowds and have a more secluded day then no need to stop here. You can add tickets in the booking process if desired.

Can guests make suggestions on itineraries?

Absolutely! Our service philosophy is based around being highly flexible and accommodating. We can tailor a tour based on your general preferences or if you have specific places you would like to visit (or avoid) then that will be built in to your day. Just contact us before or after booking to discuss.

Are children welcome on tours?

Yes, 100%. Most of our guiding team have children and we will happily look after families with children of any age. Tour schedules, pace and specific places of interest/fun for children can be built into any tour. Suitable car seats can be arranged if notice is given prior to the tour date.
